When fossil fuels are burned, they release nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere, which contribute to the formation of smog and acid rain. The most common nitrogen-related compounds emitted into the air by human activities are collectively referred to as nitrogen oxides. Ammonia is another nitrogen compound emitted to the air from fossil fuels.

SOLUTIONS

Minimize the Miles
Driving cars and trucks also produces significant amounts of nitrogen oxide emissions (due to the fuels they use) . To help cut down on air pollution from cars, we can consolidate driving trips, carpool or take public transportation, such as buses and trains. When possible, consider walking or cycling instead of driving.

Always try to buy ISI products
'ISI' is marked on most of the electrical products which use minimum electricity therefore minimum fuel and energy.

Use alternative sources of energy
Alternative sources like wind energy, solar energy are much environment friendly. Also these sources use renewable resources. Moreover, they conserve fossil fuels
